Accommodations
Wheelchair accessibility and other mobility assistance will be available via a chair lift or ramp for participating in the ceremony. Students needing assistance in walking or staying off their feet for an extended period of time are encouraged to let staff know when they check in.
Wheelchair seating for guests is available all throughout the main concourse, but the best seats seem to be above sections 112, 124 and 125.
Sign language interpreters will be positioned near the front of the stage. Individuals needing this service are encouraged to sit in section 105.
The main portions of the ceremony will be close captioned on a large screen above the stage.
Diplomas
Student participants do not receive their degree/certificate during the ceremony, but rather a diploma cover. Diplomas are sent out after the completion of the spring quarter so the college can verify students successfully complete their spring classes and have all of the necessary credits for their degrees. This is the standard practice for colleges around the country.
Parking
Parking in Arena lot is FREE.
Photos
Photos of individual graduates will be taken at the ceremony by our partner, After Image Visual Services. Order forms will be available at cap and gown pick-up and at the ceremony. There is a charge to order photos. Specific costs and package options will be available at the ceremony.
Programs
Approx. 2500 are printed each year and distributed at the ceremony.
Seating
All graduates will sit in chairs on the floor of the Arena, with guests in the seating above. There is no reserved or assigned seating for guests. There is no limit to the number of guests for each graduate.
