The deadline to participate in the graduation ceremony for SCC was May 1st. If you missed the deadline, but are interested in participating, please contact to be considered for an exception.

Note - it is not possible for participants approved after May 1st  to have their names printed in the commencement program.

2. Pick up cap and gown

Caps and gowns will be available for pick-up only at no cost beginning May 17 in the SCC Bookstore, Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Fridays, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Students do not need to reserve these in advance. Students may have a family member or friend pick up for them.

Honor cords will be distributed with caps and gowns for graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through Winter 2024.

For veteran graduates, Americana cords
are distributed through the Veterans One-Stop on the main SCC campus.
