Getting Started

To apply for the GI Bill® or other VA education benefits, visit the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Education Benefits page.

The VA provides guidance throughout the process, including preparing your application, submitting your request for benefits, and determining your eligibility.

The chart below outlines general eligibility requirements; however, the VA makes all final eligibility determinations.

To receive education benefits, you must apply through the VA and obtain a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) confirming your approved benefits.
 

After applying for benefits with the VA and registering for classes, submit a Student Intake Form.

All previous college transcripts – this includes your Joint Services Contract or your CCAF Transcript – must be submitted to SCC for prior credit evaluation.
