Ch. 30 MGIB
- Who Qualifies?
  - Veterans with at least 2 years of active-duty service after June 30, 1985
- Months of Entitlement
  - 36
- Period of Eligibility
  - 10 years from discharge
- Payments
  - Flat monthly rate paid to the veteran
Ch. 31 VR&E
- Who Qualifies?
  - Veterans with at least 10% disability rating from the VA
  - Cannot have a dishonorable discharge
- Months of Entitlement
  - Based on counselor
- Period of Eligibility
  - Discharged before January 1, 2013 – 12 years after separation
  - Discharged after January 1, 2013 – no limit
- Payments
  - Tuition/Fees, monthly housing allowance, parking, books, supplies, depending on counselor.
Ch. 33 Post 9/11 GI Bill
- Who Qualifies?
  - Veterans and servicepersons with at least 90 days of active-duty service time after September 10, 2001 or 30 days if discharged with service-connected disability.
- Months of Entitlement
  - 36
- Period of Eligibility
  - If service ended before January 1, 2013 – 15 years after your last separation date from active service.
  - If service ended on or after January 1, 2013 – no expiration date
- Payments
  - % of tuition and fees based on eligibility
  - Monthly housing allowance
  - Yearly book stipend
Ch. 35 DEA
- Who Qualifies?
  - Dependents and spouses of veterans with 100% service-connected disability, died in service, died because of their service-connected disability.
- Months of Entitlement
  - 36
- Period of Eligibility
  - Child between 18-26 – until your 26^th birthday or 8 years
  - Spouse – 20 years from date of death or 10 years from the date they qualify.
  - The VA can make time limit dates based on the date the service member became disabled (the Certificate of Eligibility will note the date the benefits expire).
- Payments
  - Flat monthly rate

Ch. 1606
- Who Qualifies?
  - Active members of select reserves with a 6 year obligation
- Months of Entitlement
  - 36
- Period of Eligibility
  - 14 years
- Payments
  - Flat monthly rate
