Our Honors program will challenge you to think broadly, creatively, and independently. Receiving the Honors designation will enhance your preparedness to meet future challenges and opportunities, regardless of your academic or career path. Read more about program outcomes below.

Earning the Honors designation on your transcript makes you more visible to top universities as well as offers further academic preparedness for the next educational level in your journey.

The Honors program at SCC is ideally suited for students seeking a general Associate of Arts (AA) degree in preparation for transfer to a four-year university, or a specific AA in Business or in Biology. Honors courses are available to all SCC students. If you are not in the Honors Program contact us to petition to enroll in an honors course.

Students can earn the Honors designation on their transcript upon completion of the Honors Designation Requirements listed below.

Application Deadlines

International students have to apply by the following deadlines:

  • August 2 for Fall quarter
  • November 22 for Winter quarter
  • February 21 for Spring quarter

Please note: Students must apply to the program before they have earned 45 college-level credits, and they must apply and meet the international student admission requirements.
