Food and Personal Services

The hospitality and personal services industries are ripe with opportunity. Professionals in these arenas are consistently in demand everywhere around the globe. Spokane Community College’s (SCC) food and personal services programs prepare students for exciting careers in fields such as baking, cosmetology, culinary arts, esthetics, and hotel and restaurant management.

Those interested in culinary arts and baking can attend the acclaimed Inland Northwest Culinary Academy and work at the college's student-operated restaurant, Orlando’s, for hands-on, real-life experience. Students pursuing education in cosmetology or esthetics practice their skills and gain experience at the college's full-service salon, Inspiration: A Salon. Certificates and associate of applied science degrees are available, depending on the program.
