If you

are a new student to Spokane Community College (SCC) with college credit from another school, we can help you get those credits applied to your SCC transcript. SCC accepts transfer credits from accredited two and four-year institutions.

Are you looking for information on transfer counseling or how to transfer to your four-year institution? Visit the Ready to Transfer page for more information.

Step 1 – Apply for Admission

Students that have not been admitted to SCC will first need to complete the college admissions application by following the directions on the Apply Now page.

Step 2 – Transferring Your Credits

Provide SCC with your official transcripts from your prior colleges or universities. In order for a transcript to be considered official it must be sent to us directly from your prior institution electronically or by mail. We do not accept faxed copies of transcripts, but we may accept hand delivered transcripts in sealed envelopes from the prior institution that were sent to the student and have not been opened.

Most schools have a simple process for ordering a transcript which can be found on their website. Follow their directions for requesting an official transcript and request that it be delivered to our Transcript Office.

Other Common Credit Options

  • Credit by examination with an SCC faculty member
  • Industry certifications (including a list of those currently accepted for credit by SCC)
