Transfer In to SCC

You can receive credit for tests that you have already completed by sending your official score reports to the Transcript Office. Currently, the following tests are accepted for college credit. Click on the links to see which tests and scores are equivalent to classes at SCC.

• College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
• Advanced Placement (AP)
• Cambridge International (CI)
• International Baccalaureate (IB)

Training or classes taken in the military could qualify for ACPL college credit. Credit, documented by the Joint Services Transcript (JST) or Community Colleges of the Airforce Transcript, may be granted if you have completed any of the following. For credit from military experience, send official transcripts to the Transcript Office:

• Military service including basic training 
• Military service schools in the amount recommended by the American Council of Education (ACE) in the publication, “Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Forces.”
• United States Armed Forces Institute correspondence courses.
• DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSSTs) using the minimum score and credit amount based on ACE credit recommendations.

Classes completed at your high school through a College in the High School program do not need to be repeated at SCC. They are on the official transcript for the college that you took the class through. You will need to order your official transcripts directly from that college if your College in the High School classes were not through SCC. Please contact SCC Counseling if you would like to discuss your College in the High School classes and how they apply to your program of study at SCC.

We will send you an email to the email address you provided every step along the way. That means you will get an email when we receive your transcript, if you have additional steps to complete, and when we have completed evaluating your transcript.

After your official transcripts have been evaluated you can see which classes we determined are equivalent to SCC courses in your Transfer Credit Report in your ctcLink Student Homepage under the Academic Records tile.
