Helping your Student Understand the Commitment

Spokane Community College’s Dual Enrollment Team understands that parents/guardians are very much invested in their student’s success. We believe that parents/guardians are our partners in helping their student(s) become successful on their academic journey.

Parent Access to Records

Our office is mandated by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Dual Enrollment students and their student records are protected under this law unless they provide a student release of information. The student release will allow our office to converse with the parent/guardian about any information related to their student’s record including academic progress, balances, course concerns.

Immunization Attestation & Guide

Community Colleges of Spokane requires COVID-19 vaccinations in accordance with Gov. Jay Inslee’s Higher Education Proclamation. All students must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they claim a medical or religious exemption.

All SCC students will be required to complete the Immunization Attestation/Exemption which can be found on their Student Homepage in ctcLink. Students who do not attest will not be allowed to enroll into classes either in-person and on-line. The guide is a helpful tool to walk students through this process.
