In this program, you develop administrative and communication skills necessary for a position as an office manager, supervisor or as assistant to a top executive. You learn to manage multiple office responsibilities effectively while leading others to achieve organizational goals. The program provides a strong foundation in Microsoft Office, other common software applications, office technologies, and project management. Whether you are looking to enter the profession, or you are an experienced office worker who wants to increase your opportunity for promotion, this program will help you achieve your career goals.

Students who successfully complete the Administrative Office Management AAS degree will also receive the Project Management/Lean/Six Sigma Certificate.

Project Management/Lean/Six Sigma Certificate (embedded): More than 70 percent of Spokane’s workforce is employed in the fields of business, health care and marketing. These fields demand well-trained, entry-level managers and supervisors. You can prepare to fill that need with a management degree. In this program, you learn the fundamentals of business management, while gaining hands-on experience in the profession. Courses cover topics in business law, project management, accounting, computer applications and human relations. You’ll also build teamwork and leadership skills, with opportunities to participate in College DECA, an international management and marketing organization. Whether you’re new to the job market, or you want to advance your current career, management skills will help you compete for the position you want.
