We hope you are getting some rest and relaxation while following the Governor’s Stay Home, Stay Healthy recommendations during your longer-than-usual Spring Break. Please know that everyone at SCC and SFCC is working together to be ready for the first day of Spring Quarter on April 13.

The Governor extended Stay Home, Stay Healthy until May 4 but that will not change the start date for Spring Quarter. Just a reminder, that the online and alternative instruction approach that began at the end of Winter Quarter will continue throughout Spring Quarter.
In some special circumstances – after May 4 – some programs such as allied health, labs and career technical, students will still meet in person, strictly following social distancing measures and sanitization measures following all health directives from state and federal officials. We will continue to provide high quality instruction and training in these alternative ways. Instructors will contact their students and provide guidance as needed. We are dedicated to doing our part to protect the health of our community.
We hope you are getting ready for online classes, especially if online is new to you. Now is the time to plan how you will access your online classes, where you will study, what tools you might need and what help we can provide to you. If you have never taken an online class before, we know it might feel stressful and we are putting together tutorials and other ways to help you succeed.
The extension of Stay Home, Stay Healthy also means we will continue to provide you with your student services through phone calls, emails and other technologies. SCC Campus Resources and SFCC Campus Resources.
Please do not come to our campuses until after the Stay Home, Stay Healthy orders are lifted, sometime after May 4. Continue to call us and email us and we will respond to you.
Spring Quarter may be different than what you are used to, but we promise to continue to support you and your education. We will miss seeing you on campus! Thank you for trusting us.
