Student Government Executive Officers (3 positions)
The President is responsible for overall operations of the student government, particularly the work of the directors (communications, finance, student affairs, equity and diversity).
The Vice President oversees the student senate and its committees, chairs senate meetings, and helps senators develop events and programs that engage students within the academic division they represent.
The Chief Justice helps ensure the student government’s operations (meetings, funding decisions, policies, etc.) as well as their programs are consistent with the organization’s constitution and other governing documents. They also work with the college and student organizations to advocate for student rights and responsibilities.
These positions require good communication and interpersonal skills, goal-setting and planning skills, teamwork and collaboration, and a willingness to advocate for students’ needs and interests.
Executive officers are expected to work 15-18 hours per week during the academic year.
