Brian Dreves, Men’s Soccer 1990-91, 1991-92

Brian DrevesCoached by fellow CCS Hall of Famer Cor van der Meer, Brian earned the honor of NWAACC All-Star and went on to play for Whitworth College. His outstanding headers were a highlight show for the Sasquatch. Brian played an instrumental role in the success of the 1990-91 NWAACC Championship team. He has continued to serve the soccer community by his leadership in soccer as the manager of the Spokane, Idaho and Oregon indoor soccer centers.

Pat Dreves, Men’s Soccer 1990-91, 1991-92

Pat DrevesCoached by Cor van der Meer, Pat was an NWAACC All-Star and went on to All-Conference play at Whitworth College and than with the Spokane Shadow. His defensive play for the Sasquatch in 1990-91 contributed to 11 league shutouts and the NWAACC Championship. He has continued to work in athletics, playing college tennis and coaching at Linfield, Eastern Washington University, and Whitworth. 

Rick Mullins, Men’s Soccer 1989-90, 1990-91

Rick MullinsCoached by Cor van der Meer, Rick Mullins was the Team Captain and his leadership was instrumental in leading the 1990-91 CCS team to the region title and than on to the NWAACC Championship. Rick went on to play for Central Washington University and the Yakima Reds. He currently works in the soccer world as the director of the CDA Sting soccer clubs.

1990-91 CCS Men's Soccer teamHead Coach Cor van der Meer and Assistant Coach Rick Harrison. The team captured the Southern Region and than the NWAACC Men’s Soccer Championship with a 17-1-2 season record. The team was lead by Doug Birdtail who was selected First Team All-Star and NWAACC Tournament  MVP and James Jasso who was selected NWAACC First Team All-Star and was the fifth leading scorer in league play. Other NWAACC All-Stars were First Team Brett Hubert, Adam Johnson, Rick Mullins and Second Team Kevin Scuderi. Other notable players were future All-Stars Pat and Brian Dreves who helped the 1990 team win the league title. Six players went on to play at four-year colleges and universities.
