Customer Relations Specialist

Customer Service Representative Degree: If you communicate with patience, friendliness, and a genuine desire to help others, a career as a customer service representative could be a good fit for you. In this program, you’ll learn techniques and strategies for providing quality customer service to clients and customers in person, by telephone, and online. With classes in both customer service and business, you’ll build skills in communication, marketing, and customer relations. With a degree from this program, you could increase your chances of becoming a manager or supervisor in several fields. Customer service training is also an excellent background for careers in sales, business, marketing, and retail.

Students who successfully complete the Customer Service Representative AAS degree will also receive the Front Office Professional and Administrative Clerical Assistant Certificates.

Front Office Professional Certificate (embedded): If you are looking for an entry-level office position, build your qualifications with this certificate. In this three-quarter program, you learn the professional skills and techniques to greet callers, make and receive telephone calls, format correspondence and reports, and perform a variety of general office duties. Front office professionals are often the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and customers. This certificate prepares you to represent your employer in a professional way

Administrative Clerical Assistant Certificate (embedded): In this two-quarter program, you’ll learn general office skills and basic professional terminology needed for entry-level office positions. You’ll develop skills in the areas of written and oral communication, customer service, keyboarding, document formatting, office procedures, scheduling, and job preparation.

  1. Implement effective human relations skills to successfully support customers in multiple communication modes and channels.
  2. Perform administrative duties using current office technology.
  3. Demonstrate proficiency with computer software applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Develop effective communications for business purposes with attention to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

The Customer Relations Specialist degree is a two–year professional program that provides the business and human relations skills necessary to work successfully with clients and customers. Students may participate in online or on–ground classes.

An associate degree in customer relations introduces students to techniques used to deliver quality customer support. Students develop their communication, marketing, personnel supervision, and customer relations skills. Customer relations specialists are the face of the company, and they interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Graduates from this program will have an opportunity to build skills toward promotional opportunities.

To earn a Customer Relations Specialist Relations Specialist AAS degree, a student must maintain a 2.0 GPA in all individual courses.
