Dana Bonstrom is a Math Tutor at the Colville Center who was previously a Mathematics Major at the University of Washington and worked as a high school Math Teacher. Dana’s favorite classes were trigonometry and calculus, and his favorite part about helping others is encouraging and enabling someone else to enjoy success in reaching their goals. In his time away from SCC, Dana enjoys hiking, camping, photography, and forest management.

Carmen Harpham began her role as an Office Assistant 3 at SCC Colville in August 2020. A native of Stevens County, Carmen pursued higher education at Washington State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Teaching Certificate for grades 6-12. She dedicated nearly two decades to teaching math in both Washington and North Carolina, primarily focusing on 6th and 8th-grade students.

In her free time, Carmen is actively involved in her church and assists her mother on the family farm, tending to chickens, cats, and a dog.

Lisa Jensen has been with SCC since October 2014, serving as the Program Assistant helping Colville students with Admissions, Registration, Financial Aid, Cashiering of student accounts, and departmental receipts. Lisa enjoys assisting students throughout their journey at SCC-Colville Center and loves seeing students realize their academic goals at graduation while knowing she may have played a small part in helping them reach their goals. Lisa can be frequently found on the pickleball courts and enjoys walking in the park near the Colville Center.

Lisa’s advice for students: Take one day at a time, read the syllabus, ask for help when needed, and do not become overwhelmed. We are rooting you on and love to help you achieve.   

Kerrin Langford - Rural Counties Pathway Specialist

Kerrin’s journey has taken her around the world—from Dubai to Anchorage, Houston to Phoenix, Portland to Fort Wayne, and through several Southern California cities—before finally settling in Colville, Washington. After 17 successful years in banking, she retired and set sights on a new chapter in education.

Since entering academia in April 2022, Kerrin has found a passion for serving her community, especially by empowering youth. As someone with ADHD and Autism, she deeply understands the importance of encouragement, support, and representation for those who don’t always receive it. While working full-time, she earned a bachelor’s degree and two associate degrees, demonstrating the resilience she now hopes to inspire in others.

Kerrin is committed to helping students who face challenges—whether they’re balancing work and school or navigating life as a neurodivergent learner. Her goal is to show that every path is worth pursuing and to uplift those who may not yet believe in their own potential.

Brian Moyer has been with SCC (Spokane Community College) since January 2020. He currently holds the position of Colville Center Manager, where he oversees the day-to-day operations of the Colville, Inchelium, and Republic Centers.  He has worked in higher education for 20 years.

Born and raised in Idaho, Brian loves the outdoors.  He can be regularly found in the summer on local lakes in Northeast Washington kayaking and enjoying the scenery.  In the winter he can be found snowshoeing with his Lab “Daisy” or baking in the comfort of a warm house.

Brian earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho and an Associate of Arts degree from North Idaho College.

Dawn Young joined the Spokane Community College team in April 2018 and has since dedicated herself to serving students from the Northern Counties as the Running Start Coordinator at the SCC Colville Center. An ardent advocate of the Running Start program, Dawn has witnessed numerous students thrive within the program, a list that proudly includes her daughter. Prior to her time at SCC, Dawn managed health information, followed by a period of homeschooling her children while running her own medical transcription business. A Washington native, Dawn enjoys spending time camping with her family, volunteering at her local church, and crafting homemade soaps.
