Student Activities Support Staff
- Liaison between Student Activities, ASG, and Student organizations and retrieving
- reports/updates from officers and advisors of recognized student organizations
- Coordinating participation of Student Organizations events.
- Preparing reports and other written material
- Collaborates with other event coordinators and the Student Activities Coordinator
- Coordinates all aspects of event planning and execution
- Markets events and activities
- Attends activities and provides necessary support
- Collaborates with the marketing team to provide customer service that meets industry standards
- Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
- Prepares finished copy and art by operating, printing, and utilizing similar equipment
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Assist in the operation of the SCC Food Pantry
- Creates and maintains community referrals for resources
- Manages weekly pickups from local food bank
- Updates and maintains procedures and record keeping
- Monitor the game room equipment and provide customer service
- Maintain and update procedures and record keeping
- Create programming that best utilizes functionality
- Program and plan gaming events
- Perform as “Skitch” Mascot at community appearances and athletic events
- Maintain “Skitch” costume
- Assist in creating routines for promotional entertainment
- Contribute to the school spirit program
- Collaborates with the Student Activities office on projects
- Provide administrative support for Student Leadership Center and Student Activities
- Provide logistical support for LAIR Student Center operations
- Provide customer service support for various LAIR Student Center offices
Associated Student Government
- Responsible for overall operations of the student government
- Attends and reports monthly to the CCS Board of Trustees
- Attends meetings with College Executives on a regular basis
- Supervises Executive Staff, including Directors
- Chairing and facilitating Senate meetings (usually every 2 weeks)
- Reports and works closely with the Executive Officers on projects
- Manages/oversees Senate Committees
- Provides guidance and support to achieve team objectives
- Over sees all Judicial matters within the Associated Student Government
- Serves as Ex-Officio member of the Executive Cabinet of the ASG President
- Plans, organizes and facilitates the Judicial Council
- Serves as primary student representative on the SCC Student Conduct Board
- Advocate and address issues for the student body, particularly the academic areas
- Recommend changes to ASG policies represented
- Attend weekly Senate and committee meetings
- Review and make recommendations on student fee budgets
- Serves on ASG, and college Committees, collaborating with academic and student success committees
- Preparing and presenting information about academic and student success resources
- Seeks student feedback through surveys, student forums, and student interactions
- Serves on finance ad student fees committees (e.g. Student and Activities- S&A Fee; Tech Fee)
- Maintains accurate records of committee initiatives and college activities
- Works to provide accurate records and researching elicit student feedback regarding budgeting and/or disbursement of student fee funds
- Manages S&A fees in accordance with financial policies and guidelines
- Collaborate with SCC’s Student Services offices to serve students’ needs
- Communicating with community agencies to establish a lie of support and networking regarding community and crisis resource information’s for students
- Collaborating and providing accurate reports of committees and/or collaborating with Student Services
- Implementing assessments surrounding student resources and services
- Maintains regular communication and record keeping including minutes from ASG meetings, committee meetings, and official reports
- Actively assist with and support Student Development/Student Activities events
- Develops and distributes ASG announcements and reports
- Provides guidance and support to achieve team objectives
- Lead Student employee in addressing Legislative inquiry and legislative-related issues with SCC
- Attends and represents the student body in legislative committee meetings and communication through the ASG Senate
- Collects data and relevant legislation updates pertaining to the SCC student body
- Assists the ASG with legislative inquiries
