“Bread and Circuses:  Exploring the Legacy of the “Real” Martin Luther King Jr.” is the title of the presentation by Darryl Brice, Ph.D., and it explores why a myopic view of King has become the most popular and accepted version of the civil rights leader and what is omitted from most dialogues about King’s life and legacy.

SCC Welcomes Mandala Sand Painting with Tibetan Buddhist Monks

Tibetan Buddhist monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery will construct a Mandala Sand Painting next week at Spokane Community College. As part of Welcome Week to welcome students to fall quarter and in honor of the International Day of Peace, SCC’s student activities board is bringing the event to campus.
