How to activate your accommodations

Do this after you register for classes each quarter or any time you add or change classes. It may take up to 48 hours after registering, adding, or changing classes for changes to appear in AIM.

  1. Log in to our accommodation management portal, AIM, using your SCC Bigfoot email and password.
  2. Select the classes for which you would like to activate accommodations.
  3. Select the checkboxes for the accommodations you plan to use in each course.
  4. Select “Submit Your Accommodation Requests.” Your request will show as processing. Your accommodation notification letters will be emailed to your course instructors with a copy sent to your Bigfoot email address the week before the start of the quarter.

Depending on your accommodations, additional coordination may be required between you, DAS, course instructor(s), and/or the SCC Testing Center.

DAS recommends that all students contact their instructor(s) to discuss accommodations at the beginning of the quarter and/or at any point that changes are made to accommodations during the quarter.
