Tips for online learning

Health & safety

Online counseling is available to students, especially those experiencing feelings of anxiety or stress.

SCC students can schedule an appointment online.
SFCC students can schedule an appointment by emailing sfcc.counseling@sfcc.spokane.edu.

While you are social distancing, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends:

  • Connecting with others. Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling.
  • Make time to unwind by doing activities you enjoy, or take up a new hobby.
  • Take care of yourself with deep breaths, stretching, sleep and trying to eat healthy.
  • Take breaks from the news. Overexposure to the pandemic news can be upsetting.

Libraries

Many library resources and services are available online. Research databases contain extensive collections of e-books, periodicals, streaming videos and other information sources. Library faculty are available via online chat, email and Zoom video conferencing to help students with their research assignments.

See all library resources and services that can be accessed from off-campus (includeing a faculty support section).

Spokane Public Library

CCS has a partnership with the Spokane Public Library that allows our students and employees access to their digital resources. These include popular e-books, audio books, streaming films and television shows, online magazines — even comics and animated — and talking picture books for children.
