A student at Spokane Community College who was the recent victim of a theft of his laptop containing his schoolwork and his backpack filled with school books has received support from total strangers who learned about his plight from KHQ.
Chance Briet is on track to get an associate’s degree in Applied Sciences from SCC and was devastated when his laptop and backpack were stolen from his car during the 10 minutes he was in a grocery story.
His story was reported by KHQ’s Hayley Guenther a week ago and during the week those who saw the story contributed a new laptop and cash for Briet and his family. “I have hope in humanity,” Briet told KHQ.
