Skilled Trades Preparation

The Skilled Trade Preparation (STP) program is an eleven-week course at Spokane Community College (SCC)  that prepares you to successfully apply to an apprenticeship in the construction trades.

Ready for a career in construction?

STP gives you the basic skills and training, such as safety training and first aid, so you can succeed as an apprentice, regardless of the trade you choose. 

Learn from the experts and get insider knowledge about the different career paths so you can choose which is best for you.

Training Includes:

  • Applied Math      

  • Financial Literacy

  • First Aid

  • Flagging

  • OSHA 10 Construction Safety

  • Understanding Apprenticeships

Your $25 Fee Includes:

  • Certificate and Lab Fees

  • Testing Fees

  • Textbooks

  • Tuition

Program Details:

  • ​STP is an 11-week course.

  • Class times: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
