Resources funded by students support social, cultural, recreational, education and leadership activities and events that make Spokane Community College (SCC) students' overall college experience even better.

Food Pantry and Resource CenterSCC Food Bank stocked shelves

SCC operates a food pantry for currently enrolled students! Full and part time students, faculty, and staff may visit the Food Pantry and Resource Center up to three times per quarter. Items vary but usually include dry goods, canned goods, frozen ingredients, refrigerated staples, as well as hair and body care products.

All currently enrolled students are eligible – visit the Food Pantry and Resource Center located down the hallway from the Student Leadership Center in Bldg 6, Room 102. All you need is your student ID! (Student ID cards can be obtained for free from Bigfoot Central in Bldg 15).

We are open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday during the quarter. Hours are subject to change – call the Student Leadership Center for questions 509-533-8900.

The Work Study program provides the chance for students to earn money while gaining work experience. It can provide some regular monthly income to help offset educational expenses and reduce loan debt. Work study is not a grant; you must work to earn it.

Game Cave

Located in the lower level of the SCC Lair, the Game Cave is where students find entertainment and relaxation. Latest gaming systems and games and two arcade games are available. Students also have the opportunity to play billiards, ping pong, shuffleboard and foosball. Table top games, comic books, and Legos are in the Game Cave.

STA busBus Passes

Students are eligible to receive a bus pass when tuition and fees are paid. Your Student ID card is your bus pass and activates the first day of class. STA buses arrive and depart on the half-hour weekdays and evenings, and hourly weekends. Students receiving a fee waiver can buy a bus pass for $22.  Faculty and staff can buy a pass for $30.
SCC students can get their student ID/bus pass at BigFoot Central in building 15 upon payment of tuition and fees. SFCC students obtain their student ID/bus pass at the SFCC Print Shop. See our transportation web page for more information.
